Real Life Weddings - Angela & Campbell - “We couldn’t have done this without their friendship and patience....”Angela and Campbell first met 14 years ago through work and, after a few years of bumping into each other both in and outside the workplace, they began a relationship and, in 2009, Campbell proposed.

Shortly after Campbell’s proposal, preparations for the wedding began but Angela found it difficult to find the perfect dress, “I couldn’t decide on what style of dress I wanted and nothing was really giving me the ‘wow factor,’” Angela explains. “Then I came across Tracy.

She is an absolutely magical dressmaker and with her step-by-step advice and help, my dress was everything I had imagined. ”Angela and Campbell were keen for their day to have a Scottish theme with a laid back feel so they decided to create a traditional Scottish Country Wedding.

Angela found picking a wedding theme to be helpful to the planning process, “Choosing a theme really helped me stick to a colour scheme when I was choosing other items. There is such a large selection of things to choose from and a colour scheme defines what you can and can’t have so that everything matches.”

Real Life Weddings - Angela and Campbell first met 14 years ago through work The morning of the wedding can be highly stressful but Angela managed to remain cool and collected while she was getting ready, “I really enjoyed the morning but the nerves did kick in when I was on the way to the church and my wedding car had a break down!

It made me an hour late for the church and I felt quite emotional when I got there but I received a huge round of applause from everyone which calmed me down and made me laugh and cry at the same time!”

The Cake...
The couple chose a simple, white, four tier wedding cake from Marks & Spencer which they then decorated with fresh white roses and fronds of green ivy.

The Flowers...
Angela and the bridesmaids’ bouquets were created from white roses which are considered to be a symbol of everlasting love.

Wow... that Dress!
Angela went for a full skirted white dress with a fitted bodice and delicate straps. Some extra glamour was added to her look with some gorgeous floral hair jewels and a simple pendant necklace.
